we only use the boots now for long hikes in rough terrain and for long winter ice fishing excursions. they really help keep ice out of pads, although by mid winter my corgis have developed what I call "mittens" fur grows from between pads and almost covers bottom of feet, and by spring with shed, they go back to normal! amazing feat of nature
yes , jacket is actually more of a rain /snow coat fairly lightweight, my attempt to keep them somewhat dry as opposed to all 3 barreling into house and shaking hahahahahahah
boots are mutt luks and are ok but she does manage to get them off running full tilt. and it is the way she runs when in herding mode, she was skinning her elbow ..elbow joint raw, and these really didnt help.. so gave up and used a light bandage material to protect.
Great tail!
Try the Pawz(TM) booties. I've posted about them several times. Balloons that roll over the feet. They stay on and seem to protect from snow abrasion between the pads and do not seem to interfere with the dog's footing because the claws almost poke through the booties (sometimes do). I doubt the jacket is necessary; their coats are better than ours. winter coats
