Junuary (sic) 25, 2015.
Mt. Pilchuck is a modest summit in the Cascade foothills near Seattle. Normally inaccessible in winter -- can't drive to the trailhead even with 4WD -- but 2014/2015 is having no winter. There is no snow. Astonishing.
Al claims the 1st ascent by a male tricolored Pembroke Welsh corgi on a January Sunday without supplemental oxygen. Sparky the corgi, who ascended shortly after us, had to content himself with the 2nd ascent. Cool to see another corgi on a mountain.

That's good to know.  However, in looking at more of your photos, I can tell you two have done a lot together.  What a wonderful assortment of photos taken on the adventures you both have shared.....

he's on-leash, but I've come to trust him not to do anything too stupid.

Call me chicken, but I would just be too worried about taking our Corgi's on a ledge like that for fear that they might get restless and somehow fall.  I can't stand heights anyway ............

Al is handsome as always and must contend with your more normal appearance.
