I have two aging Corgis.. Sparkle, a blue merle, is 11. Monty is 10. Monty is not doing well. His back legs are giving out and he is completely deaf and almost blind. But he seems happy. I'm just worried I will wake up one morning and find him dragging his legs. I rescue horses and cats and have four rescue dogs. I promote rescue and am a driver for the dog rescue railroad. I also am the founder of All For Pets of WNY, a non profit group that provides emergency vet assistance for those who can't afford it.
two cardigans. Sparkle is a retired show dog that was afraid of people so had to be taken from show ring. She is still timid but loves it here on the farm. Monty was a reject from a breeder. He has "backward" front legs and was a crypt orchid. I worked at a vet office when the owners brought in the batch of puppies and thought he would die so they raised him on a heating pad. He lived, and I took him. What a happy joy he has been.
