I'm an animator living in Atlanta. My boyfriend (of three years: GO us!) and I are getting our first dog together and we've chosen the Corgi. Hoping to meet other corgi owners in Atlanta and other corgi enthusiasts.
Well. . it's been awhile and we've had our baby boy, who we have named Sketch (as my boyfriend and I are both Animators we felt it appropriate), for over a month now. I would have updated sooner but I just graduated college and things are FINALLY slowing down.
Sketch is a rambunctious little guy full of surprises and very vocal. He likes to tell his toys whose boss and we've come to a compromise with his noises. We've taught him to use his "inside voice". It's adorable how he barks under his breath and makes various soft puppy noises.
He enjoys a good tug of war, running, sniffing, cheese is his favorite treat and he's mastered sit, and understands the concept of lay down and stay fairly well at 13 weeks. We enjoy his company throughly. He's in the middle of his teething stage so we've been taking his milk bones and other small treats and throwing them in the freezer to help numb his gums. When I told my vet about the idea she ran with it and has been telling people to do this with their teething pups now.
He's and utter joy to be around and we love him to pieces.
He's going to be a black and tan Tri color and probably will be on the small side.
Carrie, My name is Cindi and you have been seeing me and Twinkie with lots of comments on Georgia Corgis. Will Sketch old enough to attend any of the outings we are planning for November? It would be great to meet you and your boy.
Hello! My boyfriend and I also live in the Atlanta area and are adopting two corgi pups! Ours were five weeks when we went to visit them also. They will be seven weeks old tomorrow and we are bringing them home on Saturday! When do you get to welcome yours home?
Hi!
I'm in South Carolina and I have family in
Atlanta. You are going to LOVE your Corgi! They are smart, loyal, happy, obedient, and good natured dogs. Hope to see pics soon.
Congratulations on your new baby! He is just precious. =) I'm still waiting on my little guy too. I'm a first time corgi owner myself, I do believe we are in for a grand experience!
Thanks for the nice note :) I know, there just aren't enough of us in Atlanta...yet! Bailey is actually a little girl but used a boy spelling on her name (not on purpose, just wanted to name her after Bailey's Irish Cream). Don't you just love tri-colors? I think they have the coolest features. Where in Atlanta do you live? I work on-air for Kicks 101.5 FM.
Hi, Carrie. I know you will absolutely adore your new Corgi. We've had our Corgi, Tracker, for almost two years. I cannot imagine having any other breed!
I really like the "Obey the Corgi" graphic on your page. Is it available for purchase?
I checked out the site. I'll probably order the mini poster. Perfect. Might even consider a mug! Just put the latest picture from my breeder of our little boy--I can't wait to pick him up.
