Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
My dog Nico is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He is very playful and smart. He is obsessed with chasing the ball and going for walks. He is shy around strangers, especially men -- but we are working on that. He's my baby, basically. I would love to give him another corgi "buddy" to play with, but my husband is not on board with getting another dog...right now anyway. In the meantime, I would love to get Nico together with other corgis in Lincoln, NE to socialize and have fun!
Dana, I feel bad I haven't been on MyCorgi in a while. My Daughter surprised me with wanting to get married on Sept. 3 so I have been busy planning a wedding on the fly! I would still like to try to get together. Maybe set up a small Lincoln Corgi meet up at Holmes. Let me know if you are still interested.
Sorry about that. The Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha sponors a couple of days where you can bring your dog to the pool. I posted it in the meet up section. Here it is.
Doggie Dip: August 8th AND August 15th
NHS and the City of Omaha Parks Department is partnering to offer you and your best friend two pool parties this summer on Sunday, Aug. 8th and Sunday, Aug 15th.
Doggie Dip #1 @ Lee Valley Pool:
Sunday, August 8th • 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. • Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Lee Valley Pool will be open for human and canine swimming. Big dogs can swim in the main pool while the kiddie pool area will allow big and little guys to "get their paws wet" and see if swimming is for them. The City's Parks and Rec Department will have lifeguards on hand and the whole thing should be really "cool."
Doggie Dip #2 @ Gallagher Pool (Benson)
Sunday, August 15th • 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. • Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
The last night of the summer pool season, Gallagher Pool in Benson (click here for directions) will be open for human and canine swimming. Big dogs can swim in the main pool while the zero depth area will allow the non swimmers a chance to get wet and stay cool while they test out the idea of swimming.
New this year to help the pool filters, dogs must be rinsed and brushed before entering the pool. Admission for each dip is $5 per dog. Take a look at how much fun we had at last year's dip. Watch the Doggie Dip Video!
We may try to go to the pool thing in Omaha on the 15th. but the 13th and 14th look good. Which day would work better for you. The next week is pretty busy for me.
A play date at Holmes Park would be great. I work in Lincoln and Live in Colon. On occassion I do bring a Corgi to the office with me. I know Judith would be interested as well. Thoughts on a day and time?
Welcome Dana and Nico...two Corgis is twice the comedy as well! I live in Colon, but work in Lincoln. My Corgis take turns making visits to the office perhaps we can arrange a play date! I am hoping that we can get another NE Corgis meet up scheduled sometime soon as well.
