Hi Dannette & Barney,
thinking of you many times...wondering how you're all doing...it's been so long...sure hoping things are okay...let us know how you're all are...Lori, Callie & Coop
Bless you all. Would there be anyway Barney could visit your husband in the hospital? It might be good medicine for all. I don't know that may sound strange... The hospital I work at use to allow therapy dogs. Maybe I shouldn't admit to this but when I first got Callie I wrapped her in a baby blanket and smuggled her in here! When I was in the hospital for 27 days with my aneurysm I told my husband I would've gotten better if only they'd bring my babies to me. They couldn't because I was in criitical care most of the time but I'm convinced it would have helped me! Anyway you all are in my prayers and I hope for the best.
I'm so sorry to hear of your husband having to be in the hospital! Both my husband & I have had medical issues (he had Colon Cancer & I had a Brain Aneurysm). I can't imagine any better medicine than our dogs to help us though those times. I say Callie especially has the toughest job of all taking care of us. I truly wish the best for all of you...L
Don't think I'd heard that one before! I think I understand where you're coming from though... I've had dogs ALL my life and truly there's nothing like Corgis. I've read that having Corgis in your life is really like having another person in the house and I have to say I can for sure see that!
Just remember Barney wouldn't be who he is today without his past and just think of all the awesome memories you do have with him! Enjoy..L
Welcome Dannette and Barney. Thank you for rescuing, can you imagine anyone not wanting to adopt a corgi? Both our current 2 are rescues, and I could not live without them Carol, Lucky and Sonny
I'm new at all this too so perhaps we can learn together. I love the name Barney! That's my husband's best friend's name. I just know he would love to share his name with your Barney! My husband & I work different shifts so he's at home with our kids when I'm not. I'm so glad they have each other to keep company! I will confess it's the dogs that I'm greeted by when I come home first. Have you heard the saying "Nuts For Corgis Butts"? That's me! I bet you'll love this site! I just love logging on each day for a fix! Take Care. L.
Welcome Dannette and Barney! How awesome is that, you got to save him. It was the case with my corgi mix, Bruce. He was on his last chance (at age 10) and he's been such a great dog; I love him so much. He's 16 years old now!
