I'm a librarian in New Jersey. I got Sammy from the Humane Society down in North Carolina in June of 2009. He is my first dog, and it was an adjustment, but he is so dear to me. He's the greatest!

Sammy, apx 3 yrs old. They said he was a chihuahua mix but when I got him I thought he looked more like a corgi mix. I asked the vet on his first visit for a guess at the breed and she also said a corgi mix! I've seen pictures of "dorgis" -- dachshund/corgi mixes, and he looks similar, so I think that's likely, though I think there is something else in there also (terrier? spaniel? chihuahua?). He does have some corgi traits it sounds like, from what I have read on this website!
