Sidney thanks you for the compliment! We visited a few years ago and I thought the desert was beautiful. I imagine it is not nearly as isolated as it was when hubby grew up there. He said all they had was a Red Devil pizza...not even a McDonalds!

HI Jessica! Yes, father-in-law was a Marine. He passed away about 15 years ago, but he got to see his first grandchild. HAve you spent a summer in 29 palms yet? My husband calls it "29 stumps"...I wonder if that is a Marine kid thing?
