Hi Kim and Sully -

How exciting. They are siblings. She was from the litter born on August 31, 2012. Mom is Sadie and Dad is Bandit.

I check out his photos on tumblr.com (already). He has beautiful markings. Looks too like he went home with you about the same time Shasta came home with us. I am so curious about his personality. Shasta is independent and sassy.

Well, the hip dysplasia. It is something she has always had and started to be obvious when she was 11 months old. She started getting snarky. We thought perhaps it was resource guarding but during a camping trip she had a melt down on hike 3 so when we returned, off the vet we went. Well, the results were bad hips which is common in Corgis because of their dwarfism. Most of the time it goes undetected as in most dogs until they get older.

Shasta has been to three specialist to confirm the findings and one of them is Ann Marie vet in Fremont. Ann Marie does know about this. Shasta has been to going to hydro therapy since September along with cold laser therapy (helps with healing and inflammation). She has developed some nice muscle tone on the left side but the dysplasia still poses discomfort for her. As a matter of fact today we went to talk to the surgeon and are preparing for FHO surgery on Monday, March 31. We really want to her off the anti inflammatory medicine and just be herself. It the long run we feel it is the best. She is young and healthy so she will recover quickly.

Enough about that. Tell me about Sully. I so would love him and Shasta to meet. I would love to see him. Is he wild and crazy (like Bandit) or laid back like Sadie?

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you for reaching out!
