I have always had pets around. Most of the times dogs, later I had a mixed household with two dogs and three cats. I started with an Irish Setter. I always have had adoption pets. In 2003 I fell in love with a Pembroke. Since 2004 I am the proud owner of the most unique, lovely and special dogs of the world, called Jordy.
Jordy was 14 month when I adopteer him from a coulpe who breeded Shelties. It was love on first sight. When Jordy joined our household I had already a dog named Perrell. Perrel was a cross-breeding of a dachshud and a Corgi,From the first moment it turned out to be a perfect match; they went together very well. 2 years ago Perrell past away at the age of 13,5. Jordy is the most adorable dog one can imagine. He has an odd eye and when people ask me either he is blind I always reply: No, he could't choose:-) He's every inch a welsh pembroke: handsome, smart, vivid, happy, obedient and very willing to please, the best companion one could wish. Except susceptibel for hot-sots he is a very healthy dog.
Hi Marjan! That surgery was now two years ago and he has completely recovered. He walks normally and we walk most days about 2 miles and sometimes take longer hikes. I would never have guessed he would go so well. He'll always have arthritis in the hip but I give him supplements to help.
For the fish oil, you can either use human grade or the kind the pet store sells. I used to buy the human pills and break them open, but that got too messy and my fingers smelled of fish. So now I buy skin and coat supplement from Foxy Treats. It's made of avocado oil and it works very well. Any kind of fish oil or pet store supplement should help.
Welcome Marjan and Jordy! I love seeing the Pems with a tail. MY SIdney has his tail but that is rare here in the USA. Jordy is very handsome. Have you tried adding fish oil to his food to help with the hot spots?
