We live a few blocks off the historic square in a small town. There's a farmers market ever Saturday June-October, and constant community activities on the square. Most are dog friendly so we get to meet new people but also get to see the same friendly faces.
I didn't know anything about the breed, but started dating a guy that wanted a Corgi. After learning about the breed and looking at many dogs we got Radar. He was actually a 'surprise' for my now ex's birthday. Radar may have been for my ex but he has always been my dog! :) He still sees his 'dad' once in a while.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Bestest dog in the world! I have really enjoyed being a mom to such a challenge. :) He keeps me thinking and on my toes as much as I have to keep him thinking. He knows audio cues, hand signals and classic verbal commands, all because he loves to learn so I just keep teaching him. We had an unfortunate encounter with an aggressive dog and I've had to work with Radar to help him with his fear aggression since then. One thing I've learned how well he response to self-esteem building. The pup just wants to please so he can be proud of himself! If I keep him active, he doesn't have attitude problems.
Loves most food, of course, but he would be happy to be vegetarian with me. I've never known a dog that loved fruits and veggies so much! Green peppers are the favorite.
Radar is a community favorite and has many shops/stores that he can go into, or friends that will stop what they are doing and come visit him if we walk by.
Welcome Megan and Radar! Ugh, I know about the mean dogs! We've been attacked four times in our neighborhood and twice at public events. It's like Sidney has a target on his back!
