Bo Husker is my 1 1/2 year Pembroke Welsh Corgi. When I adopted him from another family, I was told they couldn't keep him because he would constantly get out of their fence.
When I got him, I discovered that he was underfed, scared of any quick movement or noise, and had a mark on his nose that could only have come from somebody striking him on the snout. He also VERY rarely barks, which I know is odd for a Corgi.
I never want to believe anybody would abuse a dog, especially one as precious and intelligent as Bo, so I treated him with love and respect from Day 1. We now go to the off-leash dog park here in town daily, and I make sure to hug him, tell him he's such a good boy, and give him lots of treats. When I'm at home, he can be found laying on my feet or next to my chairs...or, of course, jumping up with me on the couch and licking me until he's sure I know how much he loves me. He definitely enjoys following me wherever I go in my house, that's for sure. Good boy!
He's an alpha, but us bachelors stick together.
