I have a full-time job at a university for which I get paid. I then have my two part-time volunteer jobs with two of the local rescue organizations that I get paid in lots of sloppy kisses and the satisfaction of helping to find forever homes for the animals we receive on a daily basis. I have been doing the volunteer work for about 5 years now and it is the best decision I ever made. I cry each time I am able to adopt a dog to a forever home, but the tears are not sad tears. I just wish I was independently wealthy so that I could do the volunteer work on a full-time basis.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
I have a 13 yr. old Pembroke named "Bumper" and a 3 yr. old Cardigan named "Shadow". They of course do not realize they are dogs. They are my children. The 3 yr. old was a rescue dog and he has been so good with his senior brother. Bumper the 13 yr. old is blind and Shadow makes sure to herd him where he needs to be whether it is time to go outside to take care of business or time to eat.
I have:
Both Pembroke and Cardigan

Welcome Pam, Bumper and Shadow. Isn't it a good feeling to rescue? I have 2 rescues, and have always wanted to "give back" but I think that I would end up wanting to keep each and every one of them! My husband says no more pets! (that's partly why I want to try maybe helping a deployed service person who needs their corgi taken in while they are gone. Anyway, enuf of me!!! Welcome, you will find lots of good stuff on this site, but you know a lot about corgis already. Carol,Lucky and Sonny
