I'm am what we call the "snow white" of the house- when my alarm goes off- I wake up to 8 pointy ears and attentive "MOMMY'S UP!" expressions. Then thats followed by a 3 year old daughter and a stiff cup of coffee!

About My Corgi(s):
About 10 years ago I went to purchase a puppy- I almost got a rat terrier (yikes). But this little "low rider" puppy all fuzzy and grey caught my eyes. I ended up paying a million dollars for her- and took her home into a world that no one knew what the heck a Corgi was (my self included). I was super young and on my own- and she quickly became the feature that was seen with me AT ALL TIMES. Her name is Mandelynn- aka Mandy. Named after the short guitar and also hybred with a guy I had liked at the time. She was my second half. As I grew to learn about the breed and also about this terrible thing called puppy mills- I was grossed out and super irritated that they would harvest dogs that way and sell them at puppy stores. So I called her my store bought princess. Shortyly after she hit about 2 years old- I was walking her out in the country side and ran into another corgi (which mind you- a decade ago.... no one owned these dogs... they were so uncommon to see) I freaked out and was so super happy to meet a fellow corgi owner. I exchanged numbers with her and told her anytime she wanted a play date- I would love it. About 2 weeks later she called me up and asked if I wanted to take him. As it turns out, Buster was a 1 year old puppy that was owned by people that chose to cage and hit him as a puppy. So this woman rescued him- but also could only keep him locked up due to his energy level and the threat of other dogs in the yard- pits. SO I got him- and had to feed him to grow his coat back, He was in terrible shape. But my little lady Loved her new friend and they quickly became the Pair of trouble makers. So I have my Lady...and my tramp. But they truely are my actual children. Mandy over the years has put on weight and I am trying to get it off. Buster has been true to his name and has busted himself open around a hundred times- we have a count going of how many times he has had to get shaved to get stitched. He is our dear devil- and total boy.
I have:

Hey, I just noticed you are up the freeway from me. If you are willing to take a short drive, you might want to check out the San Diego COrgi Meetup group. We have big huge meetups once a month, and smaller North County meetups at the Rancho Bernardo dog park. We have a family from Temecula that comes up to join us. WE'd love to meet you and your corgis! http://www.meetup.com/SanDiegoCorgiMeetup/messages/boards/
