I have two, Gracie is a red/white at 7yrs and Cooper a tri-color at 1.5yrs. I consider both of my Corgis as rescues, even thou we got Gracie from a local pet store. She had been at the store way too long and was kept penned up in this tiny cage. So, after talking with breeders and other corgi owners, My wife and I decided to save "that Corgi in the window".
Cooper was more of a true rescue, he was born in Kentucky, under a porch in a rain storm. We heard about him and his sisters through a rescue group and since we were looking for a second corgi, we decided that we needed to rescue him as well. All of his sisters and mom and dad had also been placed in good homes. So it was a happy ending for Cooper's Corgi family.
Cooper is more of my buddy then Gracie. Gracie is a mom-ma's girl (pampered pooch).. So Cooper and I have been doing the hard work for Rally-O and Agility training over the last couple of months, and hopefully in the spring we will begin trailing and competing.
