I grew up with Corgis as a kid...and thats the only kind of dog I wanted around my own 4 children!!!!!! We rescued a tri pembroke welsh corgi, she is around 6 but weighed over 65 lbs when we got her. We have got her down to 50 lbs, but she has had other medical issues so it has not been able to be a priority until now!!!! Any helpful Ideas on weight loss? I have had her tested for thyroid, diabetes w/ a strict diet of 1.5 c. of food a day with no treats!

Hello and Welcome!!! How lucky you were to grow up with corgis and now have them with your own family. I would suggest cutting her food down to 1 cup of food total for the day. You can also give corgis green beans to help them feel more full as well as canned pumpkin, but just pure pumpkin, not pumpkin pie filling.
