Profile Information

About Me:: My husband, Bob, and I have had pembrokes for the last 8 years. Before that we'd had several long-legged dogs, but wanted to travel with our dogs in a small camper, so we studied smaller breeds and tried pems. We were hooked by their incessant good humor and willingness to make a game of any situation. Now we have a 5-year-old female, Rose, and a 1-year-old male, Ollie. They are our loves. Although sometimes I miss the leg visibility of other breeds, I can't help but smile and laugh at a running corgi. Our Ollie has completed his CGC and four levels of classes offered by our local Petsmart. Rose has hip dysplasia so we let her participate with Olllie's activities as she wants, with no pushing from her humans. I'd like to talk with other corgi owners about discipline, nutrition, training, volunteer activities, etc., and believe this site offers that opportunity.

He's a therapy dog (we mostly go to University during finals weeks and also is involved in the library "paws to read" program) and now he's learning Rally since I was concerned that agility might be too rough on him. He also like to go herd sheep on occasion. He's so much fun and he makes me laugh every day!
