On the front page of The Caller Times newspaper on March 5, 2012, Dewey's picture was in color on the front page and was also inside of the paper. The picture chosen was him surfing in the pool. Dewey's picture was chosen out of 1,500 pictures of pets.

Yesterday, we went out in the Gulf Coast (Corpus Christi, Texas) to try out my Dad's new boat. The waves were three feet and there was a violent rip current. My Corgi, Dewey, and I were thrown out of the boat and into the sea. Thankfully, before that happened I put on Dewey's life jacket. My brave Corgi swam through all of this. Two fisherman grabbed Dewey by his life jacket handle and pulled him up to dry land. He waited on the shore, until I swam in and the boat made it in. What a wonderful… Continue
