George Goes to His First Softball Game

George has had so much energy in the evenings lately that we brought him to my husband's softball game last night. George was a hit. It was the first time he's really been around lots of small children (ranging in ages from 3 - 9) and I was very proud of how well behaved he was. Kids are so curious about dogs and at one point there were five of them petting him nicely and asking questions.

"How much did he cost?"
"Did your cats cost more or less than he did?"
"Where is George's tail?"
"Can I give George some ice cream?" (no).

He sat on the blanket at the field and soaked up all the attention and even let some of the older kids rub his belly. I have a feeling we'll be going to more softball games in the future.

I think the funniest answer I've had for "Where's his tail?" was:

"You know how most dogs wag their tail when they are happy? Well...Corgi's keep their happy on the inside."

Anyone who's seen a corgi smile... knows that very well :)

Good for you. George will enjoy being with his family and get more socialized and you'll both become regulars!
