Activities for corgies in Central Texas

I don't know of any activities or get togethers for corgies in central Texas. I love doing stuff with my dogs but I am running out of things to explore. And I would love to know if there and any special places or activites that I don't know about for corgies or just dogs in general. So if anyone has anything they would like to share I would greatly apperciate it and so would Eva and Ein. :P

When is the Buda meet up, and does anyone have a link to a site for it? I was planning on taking Jack up there this year, but I need a little more info. :]

Thank you so much for the info everyone. I certainly understand staying in the AC right now. I live right outside of Austin and it is very hard to find stuff to do with the corgs. I would love to go to the Buda Corgi meetup, it sounds really fun.

I'm in Houston, closer to Katy, so if you're close to Houston, that would be good. I took Barnum & Bailey to the Congressman Bill Archer Bark Park on Hwy 6 (about 2 miles N of I-10) today - fun! They both swam for the first time - I'm so pround of them.

I just about gave up finding other Corgis around Austin, especially north. Nice to hear from someone just up the road! We haven't been doing much except early morning walks in the neighborhood since mid-May when the temps started hitting 105 degrees. The new Round Rock dog park is pretty nice. A neighbor and I took our dogs one weekend morning a couple weeks after it opened last Spring. I wouldn't mind finding more things to do in north Austin or Round Rock when the weather cools a bit. Right now we're mainly sticking in the A/C.

The big annual Corgi meetup is hosted by Overo Corgis in Buda in the Fall. This will be our first year to make the trek out there.

Yup, you can help spread the word by posting upcoming event on the event tab. There's quite a few members in Texas, not sure what you mean by central tho, dfw?
