Me and Madog have been very busy campers these last couple of weeks. He just keeps getting bigger and smarter. We are having fewer accidents at work and he will pee on the grass out front which is very cool. We call it "Making Good Choices". Choosing outside is better than the boss's office.
I finally got him new food to take him off of the Iams. We went with the Blue Buffalo after much reading on the dog food analysis sites.
I tried to introduce the new food slowly by mixing it with the Iams. Worked great. Madog loved tossing all the Iams on the floor as he snarfed through it for the LifeSource Bits containing a precise blend of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants selected by holistic veterinarians and animal nutritionists everywhere.
So now I have Iams all over the floor and a Corgi that is screaming bring on the good stuff.
Oh, and I also stupidly not thinking gave him a piece of frozen pre-cooked chicken strip a couple of days ago... so don't do that. Combine that with the food transition and you have the most impressive case of the runs. And I don't mean in a Fraptastic way, I mean Craptastic. His poor little butt is a chocolate Niagara Falls. Because of it he has had a couple of accidents inside but I blame that on me.
Other than this trial every day just keeps getting better with this big little dog.
PS if you haven't seen Beverly Hills Chihuahua yet go see it. It is hilarious.
