So yesterday was the day. I brought home my little princess! It was really the best day of my entire life. It was my last day of school so after class i packed up and my boyfriend came and picked me up and we went to SFO to pick up little Harlly. Then they told us she was being taken to cargo, so we had to drive there. The people there said come back in an hour, she should be her by then! We were super anxious at this point. We saw another couple outside the cargo hold with there new dog. it was a 10 month old beddlington terrier. Very cute. So Ian and i went to get some lunch and came back in an hour, and our Harlly was there!! The lady watching the cargo said she had been very quiet! And she was very quiet the whole way home.. ( i had to hold her, because we were in a truck and the crate wouldnt fit and we werent leaving her in the bed) she just chewed on some toys, looked around tried to sniff everything.. and when she was tired and she just curled up and went to sleep.
The whole trip home went very weel. She was so well behaved. Except for one mishap.. she had to go potty.. and she let us know too, she sniffed at teh car window.. whimpered .. and i told my boyfriend she has to go.. but it didint do us much good.. we were stuck in stop and go traffic on the bay bridge!! So she tried to hold it a while longer but wound up peeing on me! Its ok though, i just felt bad we couldnt get her somewher to potty fast enough. Anyways before we even got home we too her to a vet, to make sure she was all healthy, and she was! She was just as well behaved in the vets as she was everywhere else. Calm and cute, but still very curious. She is such a sweet girl.
Well FINALLY we made it home, and my boyfriend wanted to carry in the puppy so i let him, and i had to check out the new cabinets. Boy did i have a suprise waiting for me! My cabinets were freshly painted and new looking, wich was great, but then something in the dining room caught my attention. Strun across are window was a little banner, its said "Ashley, will you marry me?" and my heart about exploded, and i turned around and there was Ian down on one knee, with harlly in one hand and a ring in the other. Seriously best moment of my life. And i think Harlly was in on it all along!
Harlly continued to be the best puppy ever all night long! She took very well to her crate, she went potty outside. And when we went to Ians moms house she was just getting loves from everyone, and even went potty outside there too! She slept all through the night with no whimpering or crying! And has only had one accident. I blame myself though. I let her out to take her bathroom in the mornign but i didnt get her out soon enough because i couldnt find my shoes! Now i find my shoes and then take her out. All in all though she is the best puppy ever and i couldnt be happier!!
