Telphone drop wire

Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Harley has found the drop wire to our phone and has pulled it out 3 times in one week. I know the wire did droop a little and I asked the phone co to secure it better to the the house, but they did not. The last time he did this I ended up moving the wire so it would be under the window and zipped tied it to the cable tv wire and twisted it around it and then they (phone co) put the wire back. He found the wire again this morning, but did not pull it out. Thank god!! So I ended up putting some bitter apple and tabsco sauce on it to try and prevent him from doing it again. Any help would be appreciated.

Comment by Parker on October 15, 2008 at 6:24pm: Ahhh! What a pain! Grover destroyed the insulation on the pipe from our AC to the house...twice. We tried tobasco and bitter apple, but I find that that stuff doesn't really seem to work so well on outside stuff. We ended up putting zip ties all up and down the pipe, like 50 of them, but we left that ends hanging off (The extra zip tie part). Having all those ends sticking up seem to take the fun out of putting it in his mouth. You might try that. It was kind of a hassle, admittedly and I feel bad for the sucker that has to cut all those off, but he didn't try to play with it any more once we did this. Might give it a shot and see!

Comment by Suse Scheimreif on October 15, 2008 at 2:08pm: That was actually the only thing Bucky ever chewed! My husband is a wood worker so it was incased in a box for about 6 or 7 months. After that we took it off and he just didn't care anymore! Good luck...
