This I have been told, because it happened long before I was born:
Petra had a very nice and intelligent bitch, Sunga. She got Sunga when she lived in the USA. Sunga was a mix of Australian Cattledog and German Shepherd,
When Petra returned to Sweden, Sunga came along.
This is Sunga;
Sunga had a habit of collecting lost cats and dogs and bring them home with her. One day she brought a German Shepherd home. Petra found the owner quite soon and thought no more about it...
Two years later Petra heard about a poor German Shepherd that needed a new home. She and Sunga went to meet the owner, who said that her husband was not too nice to the dog. So she wanted him to have a new home. This dog's name was Maxen.
As soon as Maxen saw Petra and Sunga he went over to them and refused to leave their side. Of course Petra just had to buy him!
Afterwards she understood that Maxen was just the dog Sunga had found two years earlier! Maxen's first owner hade sold him to this other family. Maxen was well treated in his first home - but not in his second home. Maxen and Sunga must have recognised each other, before Petra knew who he was!
Here they are Sunga and Maxen:
Maxen always loved both Sunga and Petra. When Sunga died five years ago - at eleven years of age - Maxen was very sad and lonely. So he got a little puppy - my daddy Frodo;
My dad Frodo and Maxen were the best of friends as long as Maxen lived.
All of this must be true, because Maxen has told me so himself.
