I had gone over to the breeder and picked out a puppy a week ago, but the poor little guy is having a lot of problems. He hasn't been gaining weight, and has recently started to lose weight. The vet told the breeder to feed him every couple of hours and he may have a small chance. The breeder was very professional and put the other tri color puppy in the litter on hold until I came to see him, and was honest with me about the other little guy. I decided to go with the healthy puppy and the breeder has decided to keep the other puppy as a pet should he survive. Now I just need to think of another name for the new puppy.

It is a comfort to know that the breeder cares enough to keep the puppy. You made a wise decsion. Not an easy one I'm sure. Your littl Thor is a doll.

Thanks, I really hope he does well, but I am paying a lot and want to make sure I have a healthy pup. The litter was large, 9 puppies, so its probably not unusual that one wouldn't do so well. The others all seem to be doing pretty well and are good size and have voracious appetites.

Ahh I'm so sorry to hear that! I think that you made the right choice. Good luck with the naming. I will keep the other little guy in my corgi prayers.
