Corgi in Pekin Illinois needs help

I was online www.petfinder.com just looking around, (because I really don't want to do laundry). Anyway I found that TAPS a no kill shelter in Pekin has a corgi in their care who is Heartworm positive. On their site they are asking for donations to help with his treatment. He is a very cute little guy, 7 years old. I thought I would put it out there to see if anyone would like to send help.

Comment by Sylvia & Timmy on April 29, 2008 at 2:37pm: You might drop a line to Pembroke Welsh Corgi rescue regarding this sweet boy. I believe that Lakeshore handles most of Illinois, but not sure. At least someone from rescue could let the shelter know that they would pull him in case he gets close to his date :(

Don't know if you know it but they recently closed down a large puppy mill in Iowa (I think) and they are innundated with corgis. Perhaps you could get the word out in your area, if anyone is interested in providing a good home or a foster home for some pups who didn't have a very good start in life.
