I stumbled upon a group on Flickr that, as a group, will be photographing their dogs once each week in an effort to:


"create that one photo each week of your chosen dog that either stands out, signifies something special in your dog's week, or is a unique approach from your other photos of your best friend. Push the limits a little, do something different, be creative, challenge yourself. "


I like the concept of the project. Like a lot of folks that have dogs, I take a lot of photos of our fur kids. The prospect of a weekly photo assignment may be much discipline for me (wink) but a great exercise nonetheless in working on better composition, lighting, posing, etc.. Creative juices flowing and practicing photography...sounds like a great project for me and one that I would be passionate about since I love my subjects.

Finding out about the group rather late and having missed most of January, they are capped and not accepting newer group members. Pooh! Pooh! No worries...doesn't mean I can't embark on the project personally.

For the month of January I had already taken pics of the kids without this project in mind, but did miss taking any pics to cover for week #2. No matter, I'll post what I have for the weeks I have and plan to post weekly thereafter of each Corgi Kid. Let's see how far I get...

I'd love for anyone that's interested to participate and share! It's never too late to start and in the end it will be rewarding in many ways...no matter how you look at it! ;)
