A Llyr update on The Daily Corgi Blogspot!

Llyr's update on his Degenerative Myleopathy was featured on The Daily Corgi on June 16th. I am a bit behind on my blog posts to My Corgi.

His DM is progressing and we are taking each day as it comes and every day is a gift. Most recently this past Friday when he was swimming at Therapy he was not using his back legs. I am hoping that it might have been "a bad day" and that this coming week he may be better at Therapy. This weekend he has been more spunky on his walks. I do think it may be time to get the front wheels for his cart. He is starting to get weaker in the front at times. His spirit is still very strong and his appetite...well in true corgi fashion there is never enough food!

I am sorry to be late in responding too. Gromit and Doug, I am so sorry to hear about your Tinsel. How is Mistletoe doing? You are so true about their huge spirit. Llyr amazes me everyday! Alison, Llyr is doing well. his DM is progressing and he is now in a 4 wheel cart. I will post new pictures and an update this week. Thank you both for your nice comments.

I'm sorry that I'm so late on reading this post. How is Llyr doing? Give him big kisses and hugs from me.

I lost my sweet Corgi, Tinsel, to DM. Her sister Mistletoe, who is owned by friends, is battling DM at age 12 1/2.  The difference is that Missy has been getting regular hyrdo therapy at the vet and at home and it's made a big difference in slowing down the obvious progression of the disease.  Amy, I know you'll hang in there with Llyr. Corgis have a huge spirit, sometimes enough for a Corgi and a human.
