A soon to be new member of the family - Thanks to YOU!

Well the time is nearly here! In a month, we've decided to get a corgi pup at around 4 months old, the breeder is a wonderful lady with 6 beautiful corgis and even 3 Afghan hounds! All the family members are ready, the decision has gone from a pug to a dachshund and finally, landing on the big furry Corgi! But I would really like to thank all of you for simply creating such a great community for Corgi owners and Corgi owners to be's! Without seeing all the discussions and blogs about so many issues which I've fretted on and on about for so long, I don't know how I could have put together a game plan for a Corgi! To have such a great place with great people only allows me to be more confident in myself, hopefully allowing me to someday become as knowledgeable as all of you! I'm going to have a "test try" with the corgi pup for a week and we'll get him sometime during the summer after we return from a much needed summer break! So THANKS EVERYBODY!

Comment by Amy & Miles on June 15, 2009 at 10:41am: Our corgi is about 13 weeks old. My advice - get him a crate/den and lots of things to chew on. They learn fast what is ok to eat and what isn't. I am a first time corgi person too and am continually amazed at how intelligent and affable this dog is. Your guy is beautiful.
