My best friend has a Beagle and seeing these guys made me think of him D:
Im so glad these guys are living happy lives.. it makes me sad though seeing their reaction to grass.. they are only ace;s age

You were right, I cried like a baby!  I hope these gorgeous dogs end up in furever homes where they will be treated like royalty!!!!

Awww.   At least you can tell by how they react to people that they've had positive experiences with humans..

I have a friend who works in a pharmaceutical lab (he's a scientist).  He says there are very strict guidelines about exercise, playing with interactive toys, getting human attention, etc.   He IS an animal-lover, they have pets, and he says they live pretty good lives, though it is true some of them have short lives.  :-(     Very sad.  On the other hand, most of us probably wouldn't voluntarily give up all the medical benefits we get from animals.  AND there is also a lot of research done that helps other animals (dog vaccines, surgical procedures, etc were all tested on other animals first).  

Cosmetics testing, on the other hand, I have much less sympathy for.
