Hopefully you all had a great time over the holidays!  We had lots of fun here on Christmas and all of us enjoyed our gifts.  :)  This was Ellie's very first Christmas and I think she'll be looking forward to it again next year!

6:50 am on Christmas morning.  Also known as "the calm before the storm."

Yuki knows he gets good stuff on Christmas, so he's always on his best behavior.  This year was no exception because he had a "sneak peek" at what was in his stocking (my youngest pulled his stocking down as I was stuffing it and it scattered across the floor.)  He was more than willing to sit still for a few photos.  Even Ellie was willing to be a little more patient than usual!  :)

I'm sitting mostly still.  Can I have my treats now?

They're begging as hard as they can.  Treats, mom, give us treats!

I decided to let the dogs have their presents before we started unwrapping everything.  I didn't want their treats getting mixed in with paper or the kids' toys.  Plus my oldest wasn't up yet and I was getting impatient.  ;)  So I pulled down their stockings and let them have a little fun.

I know there's something in here!

They sniffed around in their stockings for about five minutes before the baby finally got hold of one and started pulling things out.  Yuki and Ellie certainly didn't mind the assistance.  :)  It just meant they were able to enjoy their presents sooner!

A new Kong and a tasty treat!  Yay!

A new Kong for me, too!

Once we humans had opened our boring non-treats, I surprised them with the bags of Healthy Edibles that had been shoved way down into the paw parts of their stockings.  Needless to say, they were excited to be receiving three treats in the same day.

Yuki started cycling through all the tricks he knows and Ellie was trying her best to get taller.

Next year I think I'm going to get them both some IQ toys and (perhaps) a new Tuffy toy.  In the meantime, they'll be getting their Healthy Edibles on a semi-regular basis (once every week or two) now that I've found their wheat- and corn-free variety.  Next up: New Year's Eve!

Ohmigod, those pictures are sooo cute!

And thank you so much for your (always!) warm words of encouragement. We are doing well, but since I am such a worrier, I am just waiting for it to all fall apart (again). Learning to take it day by day and not worry tooooo much about tomorrow:-)

sounds like an awesome Christmas, we also had a fun Christmas here as well.  It was also Tuckers first Christmas with us and he was so much fun to watch!  He loved opening my daughters present, just went up to it and started gnawing on the corner of it, lol.  Eventually I need to upload some video and photos from Christmas, but I am worn out right now!!
