I'd like to buy KC an interactive toy that stimulates her little brain and rewards her with treats... Does anyone have any suggestions as to what and where I can buy something like this?

It's only a matter of time before They start marketing "smart" pet toys, computer-operated and programmed for unpredictable behavior so pets don't get bored with them.
Til then, if you have a small boy, radio-controlled car + boy + dog = !!!!!

Oh, there are so many good ones it's hard to know where to start. Premiere makes a line of toys called Busy Buddy toys that are great. They are purple (or some are green if you buy them at Target, not sure why) and there are some different ones that have different levels of difficulty (http://www.premier.com/View.aspx?page=dogs/products/toys/busybuddy). My dogs have pretty much all of them. I think the Tug a Jug is the hardest and I good one to use once your dog has already been introduced to puzzle toys, but it might be too hard just starting out. Another puzzle toy that is very popular Buster Cube. I don't have the actual Buster Cube, but I have a similar toy that is a ball instead of a cube. I like to have a variety of puzzle toys that each require different methods to gain the reward. My Aussie is way to smart and if I didn't switch puzzles on him almost daily, he would get bored and stop trying and just chew my wall instead! =)
I also just discovered these puzzle toys a few weeks ago (http://clickerpets.stores.yahoo.net/boredombusters1.html), but they are more expensive and have to be done under supervision. They would be very good for an adult dog that needs something to do with her brain though!

Thanks Zach & Lisa! I'm going to check out Petsmart/Co for something like that.
