I've had Corgis for 9 years now and have never heard the term Doodlebug; referring to smaller corgis that weigh less than 25 pounds. Just wanted to know if it was a common term among Corgi owners and if anyone else has any other definitions.

I did some transport work last week for a corgi rescue and during the course of e-mailing; they said 1 of the corgis was a "doodlebug." I thought it was a mixed-breed but the woman from the rescue group said it was used for corgis weighing less than 25 pounds when full-grown.

All I could think if you crossed the already atrocious labradoodle, with a bug... Man that dog would be hideous. (moreso than a doodle anyway)

I have heard the term. It has been used on lists such as this to refer to little corgis. Nothing more then a "term of endearment" Certainly cute.

Gosh that's a new one on me, too. The only doodlelbugs I've heard of were bombs dropped on UK in WWII. Although I have used to call my own Corgis, because it's a nice word to say outloud.
