Last Sept, Al & I met a guy from NC on the Pacific Crest Trail in northern WA, hours from his goal on the Canadian border -- he'd started in Mexico the previous April -- he said he had a corgi named Indy back home, so named because he'd been found one July 4 in a dumpster(!).  He was either dumped (unthinkable), or, more likey, dumpster diving or panicked by the fireworks.

Happy birthday guy.  Stay away from plastic bags and streets.
