Hiiiiiiii everybody!! I'm new to this site and already learning so much from all your experience. We got our first corgi about a month ago and he'll be 3 months by the end of this week. He already knew about 5 commands which I think is good. However he is still SO hyper and sometimes he just can't seem to resist biting our pantlegs! Anyways I hope to get to know you guys and maybe arrange offline meetings so our dogs can hang out (I'm looking for chances to socialize Yayo)

We're from baltimore Maryland :D

Thank you every1 for your response! He's hard work but he's totally worth it!
Brenda I just spent the weeks waiting reading on books and tips how to train them. you're going to love yours!!
Avyon yess I would love for him to hang with other older corgis so he can learn how to behave better! I make him do tricks for his treat and all that so he's generally good. He's a little mouthy tho and I gotta fix that :) thanks for the tips!

Hello hello! :) We live in NVA so we would love to meet up somewhere in the future (once we can get out of the house of course and the dog parks aren't complete mud rivers..) I've got a 7 yr old and a 10yr old.

When we got Roxi we would walk her to a field everyday and just toss the frisbee till she tuckered out. Then walked her back if her little legs could carry her (if not we carried while she napped since puppy and all). We also just kept her busy by always training.. everything was pretty much a trick or a command. If she wanted a treat she had to do something for it.. if she wanted a toy she had to get it by name and then play fetch with it. Sounds strict but made our lives and her life so much better in the long run. Easier for both parties.

Hope this helps!

How did you spend your time waiting for him? These have been the longest weeks of my life!  Gotta wait untill 21st of march to go pick her up.

Too bad we won't be able to do playdates, because i live in Belgium

Welcome. As you are finding out, at 3 months  their energy levels and curiosity start to dramatically  increase.  Finding age appropriate ways to keep the pup busy is key.  It's hard with the weather as it's ben, but progressively long walks in safe areas  are good for both socialization and using up that puppy energy.  Avoid roughhousing and rough play, if you want to avoid escalation of mouthing.  Best wishes.
