Henry's itching his ears :(
Poor Henry has an ear infection. It started a few weeks ago when we first took him to the vet. When we got him from the breeder his ears were really dirty and he had a yeast infection. The vet had us use a flush which we did once a day until his next visit just a couple days ago. Now he said there's some bacteria growing so he gave us Baytril Otic to put in his ears every other day to the flush. But now Henry is whining and scratching at his ears, which he didn't do before the Baytril. Is he allergic to it? Or did his infection just get bad and is bothering him now? (I posted a photo of one his ears for anyone who wants to analyze it).
Also, his eye had gotten better when we took him to the vet too. We were putting drops in everyday.He just looked at it and said it was fine. But I took him for a walk today and he started squinting it again and it was getting pink. So is that allergies too? Why is it in only one eye?

oh i see. you may want to talk to the doctor about some allergy type eye drops.

it's a bausch lomb eye wash. mostly purified water.

thanks for your comment tauna and kota! i hope his ears are getting better. the outsides don't look worse and there's no smell, so i think we're okay for now. his eye must be allergies. something in the air when i take him for a walk, cause he did it again this morning.

im sooo sorry that henry is not feeling well, its so sad when they feel bad. I think the ear infection is probably getting better and that's why his ear is itching. same as when something has happened to us and then it starts to heal and it itches. I think they eye thing may be just allergies, I have allergies and sometimes only one of my eyes gets itchy... allergies are tricky. the drops you were putting in henry's eyes... was it for daily use or just until they got better? I would ask your doctor for daily allergy eye drops maybe... if they got better and then you stopped using the medication and it got worse again. were the eye drops allergy medication or what? keep us updated. hope things get better for henry soon.!
