Litter Mates
So yesterday was our first full day with Miss Molly and there were a few things that were absolutely remarkable to us.
First of all, from the moment my mom and step-dad brought her home, she was right at HOME. Literally. I have never seen a puppy be SO comfortable with her new surroundings. Her first night was amazing. We put her right in her little pop up kennel and not ONE peep. Not ONE whine. Not one spot of pee anywhere to be found. She has already claimed her spot on the couch and runs around the yard like she owns it. This dog was meant to be! It really seems as if she knew she was meant for this family.
Now, with my daughter, she is hilarious. Of course kids and dogs go hand in hand, but it seems to us that little Miss Molly sees little Miss Kaia as a litter mate. Maybe because of her size? Her willingness to get down on the ground and play? Either way, it is a riot. Until, of course, she starts nipping and biting her to play.. then it's disastrous. But we're working on it. I know it's not gonna happen overnight, but I'm hoping we can nip that nipping in the bud.
All in all, our new baby is quite literally a little miracle. I haven't seen my mom this happy in a long time. I looked over at 5:15 this morning and saw her outside with her already. She then brought her over for a visit where our cat Bella, the kitten's mommy, attacked poor Molly. (Not to hurt her of course, more like a warning) and Molly went straight for my mom and hid in her arms like "Get me away from that mean old cat!"
The whole experience so far has been wonderful and I can't wait to see what each new day brings with our sweet Molly Mae :)

That is wonderful. Hope our little Sami settles in as well. But then she is being flown here so that may be a bit unsettling for her. Will just have to wait and see. Samiday (Saturday) is fast approaching, we can hardly stand the wait!
