My auntie decided to walk me one Sunday afternoon while mommy was out. I was having fun, enjoying the scenery, and the company of my aunt. As we were coming towards home, our neighbor was washing his car and his dog, a pit bull, was sitting there. I continued walking not paying attention until i saw the Pit bull right up in front of my aunt and I. I did not notice he had moved and plus...he had no leash on! The pit bull stared at my aunt and I, but i did not let a second go bye. I lunged at him, even though i had a leash on, and barked at him angry at how he had invaded my space and i thought he was going to harm me or my aunt. I went after him, biting him, trying to make him go away. The owner of this pit bull ran up and grabbed the dog...he did not even say anything to us. We were stunned. The man took the pit bull into the house and disappeared. My aunt called mommy and my mommy rushed down home to check on me and aunt. My mommy told aunt to call animal control for him not having a leash on the dog and for being reckless. She said what if that dog wanted to attack, what if a child was walking a dog like that instead of us and the dog, who is so big, might overtake the child or dog. So aunt called animal control, they came over the next day, the neighbor wasn't home, and so she left a note giving them a ticket for not having the pit bull on a leash outside. And if it happened again, they would cite him and take the dog. I hope this guy learned. Mommy was so proud of me for protecting aunt. She said i deserved an award, so she got me another tag saying for bravery.

The owners are what make's the poor dog's reputation go down. I know he probably was curious, but owners fault for not abiding the law.

You *bit* a pit bull?

I know pit bulls get a bad rap -- the owners' fault. I have to say there are a couple in our neighborhood that are adorable.
