My Husband and I are thinking about getting another corgi

I have been wanting a brother or sister for Charlie pretty much since we get him 2 years ago. We are thinking about getting a puppy. We would be looking for one around christmas time so that we could be home and spend time with both dogs.(we both work full time) It might be a little early to know, but I was wondering if there was anyone who knew of any corgis that are going to be born around that time that are in the colorado/ wyoming area?

I would think timing is a secondary consideration to getting the right dog from the right breeder. Getting the best possible dog at the worst possible time might be suboptimal, bit you're still getting the best possible dog, so who can complain?

I'm sure glad we got Al. Not only is he the best dog in the world (except for Gwynnie), but now she has a companion.

Actually now would be the perfect time to start calling breeders. With an approximately 60 day gestation and then 10 weeks or so til the pups leave for their new homes, Corgis being bred now would have litters ready to go in the second part of December. Of course if they are breeding now, you don't know if the litter will have 2 pups or 10, but the timing is still pretty good to at least get a feel for who is out there.

We're in the wrong part of the country to refer you to a breeder, though. :-)

Hi Kathleen! You can start reading the tips in the FAQ on adding another corgi, then ask the Colorado and Wyoming group for referral. Good luck!
