I agree with Beth, is he the more dominant one, usually?  I have pics of  Lance and his corgi buddies from a corgi meet up, who have his head over lances back, and realize now that also is a dominance move, which I didn't realize then!

I asked him for paw, but he put his paw on her shoulder instead. I thought that was cute.

That is SO cute.   I just can't help but add that the paw on the shoulder is usually a dominance gesture.  :-)
