It's a little less than a week to go and I can't contain my excitement. I've even made a little desktop calender where I can count down the days till little Phoebe comes home. We recently had tire trouble on our car so all the things we were going to buy in advance will have to wait till "right" before we pick her up (on the 17th), since payday is the 15th. We went to the store today to make a list, and boy is it a long one, with lots of things still left to get. I didn't realize it was so much till I wrote it all down. Everything from clickers to food/treats to toys to poop bags. There is so much! Luckily, one of our friends had an extra crate that was just a "wee" bit too small for one of her dogs but will be the perfect size for Phoebe when she is all grown (and it has a divider till than), so that saved us a good chunk of change.

I am almost finished with the living room preparations that I needed to get done for our new addition. I still had lots of boxes with things in them from the move (about 9 months ago), but we moved from a bigger space to a smaller one with less storage to boot, and it's taken time to pair all our stuff down. BUT I've finally got the last box sorted and saved and the new puppy space (living room and kitchen) is ready to go and hopefully puppy proof. I'm still a little concerned about the dvds and books that are on the bottom of the dvd and bookshelves respectively, but other than that it's ready to go. We have the baby gates in place to keep her kitchenized if need be, and out of the front bathroom (where the cat's litter is)... so it's all a matter of waiting now.

Boy, can I blather on... so excited. The 17th... here we come!

Congratulations! The waiting is hard but it will all be worth it.

We know exactly what you are going through. For us it is 7 days before our Samantha will be here! I didn't realize that I could be so miserable and happy at the same time! I just know that it is going to take a very long time for the next 7 days to go by (miserable part) BUT next Saturday she arrives (happy part). This waiting is such fun! Can't wait to see pictures of Phoebe at home with you both.
