Hey guys, just got back to the HQ. Operation "Miami Girl" was a success! "Penny" was a stray in the streets of Miami, she was picked up by the Miami Dade animal control last week and ended up in a high kill shelter.

This morning Lori busted her out of the shelter, Penny was then transferred to Bill, we met up half way and now she's home with me :) She is a little groggy from getting spayed yesterday, but she has a beautiful smile and a great personality. Here's a picture of her on Bill's lap couple of hours ago.

Thank you Lori, Bill, Sam and Mike of SCR, saving corgi one at a time :)

Penny will be with me for the next couple of weeks, once she's ready, she'll make one lucky family very happy.

Just an update, if you've been stalking me on twitter, you'll know that last night while i was typing away on the computer, I felt a knocking on my knee cap, there she was with a tennis ball in her mouth, trying to get me to throw the ball, well, guess what? she already knows how to fetch!!!

If you guys can't find anyone to take her gorgeous face, we will. We would LOVE to have her. And we know our little man would be overjoyed! We're in SE Broward.

It's been 2 days since I picked up Penny, I have to say she is the most affectionate corgi that I've ever met, she is very sweet, loves to play and sticks to you like velcro. When she recover, put on a few more pounds, she will be ready for adoption, it is going to be hard for me to let her go, but I know she will make the new family very happy :)

aww i'm so pleased to hear of this happy ending!!! ein thinks she's a knockout :) i just wonder how anyone could lose such a beauty. i mean it's not like corgis are cheap, they're expensive pups that would definitely go noticed if missing. i wonder what her story is...

Sam we are so blessed to have you as part of our team. I know Penny will thrive in your care and you will share all the information I need to place her in the perfect new home. You and Bill do a terrific job of handling the SE area. I know I can always count on you both. Yipee for Penny!
