You know, I really shouldn't do this but having Freya makes me really want to get her a girlie collar. It's been such a hard shop. It's starting into the epic mp3 shopping I started 3 years ago that just ended last Christmas! I'm really looking for the "perfect" collar for her. I want a purple collar but one that compliments her coat at the same time looks girlie. Unfortunately, none of my local vendors supply such a things so I am forced to turn to the internet.

I also need to get her a tag for said collar as the only thing that's on her collar now is the rabies tag. She'll get chipped at her spay in May but until then I think it is important to get a tag.

Is it so bad that I spend just as much time shopping for my little girl's collar as I have any other big purchase? Craziness....at least I bought her a shirt that I liked. I can't believe I became one of those parents...I blame myself really. I made fun of my mom for succumbing to this odd tradition into puppy hood and now I am doing the same.

I contacted the animal control officer just in time this morning. She was about to put the dog I was trying to save in the truck had I not called. He's still have to finish out his quarantine and then he'll get a health check to see if he has heart worms before they neuter him. I suppose when that happens, I get to take him home with me.

Sam gave me some good advice so I am not terribly worried as I was though I still can't believe I offered to do it. I just couldn't see that one die. I didn't want any of them die, but they got full and they had to do what they had to do. I don't know how long I'll have the guy (if he passes his health check) and I'm hoping I don't get terribly attached that I want to keep him. I worry about that. I know how attached I get to things. At any rate, I hope that a rescue will free up space and I hope this guy is adoptable enough to get adopted.

Poor boy, at least I saved one today.
