Since it has been raining, Ein wasn't able to go outside in the backyard to play. So he's been whining because he wants to go outside or he whines when he has to go potty. So last night, Ein had been whining, so I went to go let him outside in the front yard instead of the backyard, since there's nothing but dirt (and now mud) in the backyard. When I reached the front door, there were 3 solid pieces of poop on the doormat (thank goodness to high-quality dog food!). I took Ein out to go pee and then came back inside the house. He looked so apologetic. It was so adorable, because he had tried. I mean, he knew that he had to go do his business outside, but since no one took him out, he was forced to do his business inside the house. He did his best and pooped right in front of the front door. I gave him hugs and pets and told him that it's ok and that he's such a good boy. I gave him a treat for trying. It wasn't his fault, it was mine. I'll be taking him outside whenever he whines, even when it turns out to be a false alarm.
Edit: Oh, and the most adorable part was when he had a tear fall down from his eye. My boyfriend wiped it off before I could see.
