I never realized how much a puppy could sleep! Ferris probably sleeps more than 16 hours a day. It's quite nice to have a break from all the hectic puppy stress, but sometimes I wish he would wake up and play too. How long does this constant nap time phase last?

Just remember, your corgi puppy is growing while he is asleep!  It's a really important and healthy phase.  Enjoy the peace and quiet!!!!  All the best, Bear, Tasha and Linus

All three of my adult dogs nap through my work hours. I am able to work at home a lot and see that there is no reason to feel guilty for leaving during the day when I have to go into the office.

16 hours is normal for a puppy. It will eventually taper down a bit as he gets older. Overall though, it can vary from dog to dog. Adults dogs can sleep just as much as puppies at times. It depends on how active they are etc.

An example would be my friend has two jack russell terriers that are both 6 years old (Bill and Ted). Bill usually only sleeps when its bedtime and is usually bouncing around the house while Ted takes naps during the day on top of sleeping at night. She said it was like that from the day she got them.
