Great! you guys have been so helpful! i'm greatful and so is Luna hope to meet you guys soon when we get everything settled up there!
Definitely check out our meet up site. Even if you don't make it to our meet ups there are plenty of past meet ups that will give you ideas about where to go. I live in Edmonds so plenty of events are planned in the north end.

The Lime Kiln Trail in Granite Falls is a great lowland hike near you. Langus River Park (starts across from Everett Animal Shelter is a great flat paved trail.
Hope to meet you soon.
Welcome to Washington.
Check out Kathy Losacco, she's nearby in Everett:

Mt. Dickerman is not the nearest dog park to Lake Stevens (start with Mt. Pilchuck, mountains are dangerous), but it's just a stiff hike up from near Barlow Pass on the Mountain Loop Highway, and hour's drive to the trailhead:
Here's my favorite dogpark, Pt. 6562 at the head of the North Fork Skykomish. Trailhead is maybe 1-1.5 hrs' drive from Lake Stevens, and a 1o mi. backpack to get here; looking north to Glacier Peak.:
Same place, looking west to east side of Monte Cristo range (Lake Stevens being not too far on the other side, off to the left a bit):
Al on Benchmark Mt. last summer, same trailhead (N. Fork Skykomish, 1 -1.5 hr drive, 8 mile mellow hike). As you can see, like they say, the climate is miserable and it just rains, rains, rains all the time:
