I think that winter may officially be over where I live.  It was an incredibly mild here this year, more mild than I can ever remember it being, and I'm a little sad that we didn't have any big snowfalls.  Now that it has started to really warm up, though, I find myself anxious for Spring to begin.  I've heard robins chirping outside, though I have yet to see one, so I'm sure it won't be long now.  The dogs have been more energetic, too, and I know they'll enjoy resuming their daily walks.

Ellie has been growing so fast.  Her puppy features have been replaced and she looks like a tiny adult.  She's still full of energy and loves to play fetch.  She plays fetch 3-4 times each day and each play session lasts for about 30-40 minutes.  That will decrease a little bit once we can take our walks again, but for now she's keeping herself active and burning off her excess energy.

She should be wearing a sign:  "Cute Corgi - Will Work For Fetch And Noms"

She encountered her first squirrel today.  I'm not sure how she managed to make it almost a full year without seeing a squirrel in the yard, but she was intrigued and unsure of what she should do.  She simply stood at the top of the steps and stared at it.  I couldn't get a picture of the showdown before the squirrel ran up the pine tree, but it was really adorable.  :)

Mom...  What is that thing?  It's all bushy and seems to be nomming on a rock-like thing.  Maybe I can nom it, too...

After her quick potty break she returned to her game of fetch for awhile and then watched me open the mail with great interest.  She seems to have figured out that yummy things sometimes arrive in the mail.  She doesn't seem to realize, however, that those yummy things arrive in packages larger than an envelope.  I did managed to get a funny picture of her, though, as she patiently waited for me to finish ripping open envelopes.

I can't tell if she's doing an impression of a fox or laughing at the silly human.  Probably the latter.  ;)

Even though she didn't get any tasty treats in the mail, there was one thing that was for Yuki.  His new tag!  I had been wanting to replace his two old, cheap pet store tags with a nice one, but it wasn't until Annaglen ordered a tag for her new puppy, Piper, that I finally sat down and picked one out.  Yuki's new tag is from this store on Etsy and it is so much nicer than his old tags!  Ellie has a tag from the same store, but it will probably be replaced with a larger one this year.  :)

The picture really doesn't do it justice.  The tag is so pretty!  And I love that it came with a sturdy keyring-type ring!

I hope you knocked on wood after you said you think winter is just about over.  :)  I was just saying how mild of a winter we have had at the dinner table tonight and my husband, told me to bite my tongue...lol.

Love the pictures, how cute!!  I am ready for spring too, along with Lance and Tucker.  I love the new name tag.
