When we first got her, my little Kaida, she adored her plushies, carried them around with her and even slept next to them.  Now, while she still loves her plushies (especially Carrot!), she doesn't have nearly as much interest in them.

No, little Kaida Corwgyn has a different obsession.  My husband and I call it.. the Squeaky Obsession.  You see, we bought her some little squeaky tennis balls in addition to the plushies she used to love.. she never cared for those little green balls that we'd throw to her, she'd look at them and then at us with this expression of utter disinterest.

Until one day... She picked up the squeaky ball and I told her to drop it.  It fell from her mouth onto the floor, I picked it up and tossed it a short distance.  She went and picked it up but didn't quite get the concept to bring it to me.  So I continued to work with her on it until she'd successfully retrieve it and bring it back, I'd give her a treat for this action and that's when it exploded.

Now, all she ever does is grab the Squeaky (heaven forbid you say this word in her presence, you're just asking for trouble!) and bring it to you.  If you fail to pick it up in a timely manner, she'll remind you by either barking, grabbing the ball then dropping it again or picking it up and depositing in your lap.

Squeaky, squeaky, squeaky!  This is all that goes through her adorable little head as she chases the ball from one room to the next and then back, for hours (you just went for an hour walk and you want to play Squeaky?!), until the ball is no longer a "Squeaky" ball, but a squishy ball!

Oh, my little Kaida bug.. I love you so much.  But this Squeaky Obsession has to stop! Your plushies are feeling lonely.. and my arm is getting tired.
