Just looked on line and most info I find there also says leash walks are ok for the first 7-10 days, and then of course the dog is healed.

honestly I thought our vet was mean by not giving us any pain medication for the dog but it kept him still for everything to heal well. Owen stayed still and was ready in a week for walks but that was mostly because we also did his duclaws at the same time (would not do that again - too much for him and us).

By the way, I remember how horrible I felt leaving my little guy to get neutered, and that was almost two years ago. :-( He walked into the vet cheerful as could be, and they took him back and he was happy as a clam with all those people around, and I wondered if he thought I had betrayed him when they came to do the bloodwork and give him the anesthesia.

But, when we went to get him he was just fine (if a little groggy) and since they started pain medication immediately, he didn't really seem any the worse for wear. I think it was more upsetting to me than the dog. LOL

I'm sure Tigger will be fine.

Does he need to be inactive 10 days after a neuter? I'm puzzled, because you are the second person with that question, and our vet told us Jack could go back to his normal walks the very next day after a neuter. All his stitches were internal, and his incision was TINY. Of course I needed to try to keep the area dry (tough with a low-rider like a Corgi) and no wild chasing of tennis balls, but walks were ok.

IMO it is impossible to keep a young animal quiet for 10 days and it is better to gently burn their energy with quiet exercise, instead of having them get so much pent-up energy they explode and go barreling around the joint in a full-speed frap.

Cuddles for Tigger!
