I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Barney.  Someone posted something a while back about our pups just wanting to spend time with us, and I couldn't get it out of my mind.  I think that they want to be with us all of the time because they have such a short time with us.  If you knew you could only spend a fifth of the time with the people you love, you would never consider needing any "ME" time.  Aren't we all delighted that our dear pets want all of their time to be "WE" time?  Take care, Cindi & Twinkie

Rhonda, I am so sorry for your loss.  My corgi, Henry, is only 1 year old, and I can't imagine life without him.  It's so hard to lose someone we love, and these dogs are so generous and such great companions, it leaves such a large hole in our hearts when they are gone.  I don't know you or Barney, but I'm sitting here reading your post, and crying my eyes out.  Take good care, and lots of hugs from Kim & Henry!

This is a true story I heard a few years ago:  A couple had to put their beloved old pet to sleep and also had a 4 yr. old child.  The child had grown up with the dog, so  they all went together to the Vet at the appointed time.  After the Vet had put the dog to sleep, the Mom was crying, she said to the Vet " Why do the dogs have such short lives?  Why can't they live as long as we do?"  The child looked up at the Mom and said " Because they already know how to love"  None of the adults could believe something so  profound had come out of the mouth of a 4 yr old child.....

He was a handsome fellow.  Anyone who has lost one knows how hard the grief is.  But 

as someone said, just think of him as well and happy in dog heaven.  And I am sure there

is one because I have babies there.  I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

I'm really sorry.

I just know that Barney is in doggie heaven with all of our other beloved furbabies, playing, wrestling, yipping...and enjoying his pain free little body!

Each time one of our little furry loved ones leave us too soon, just know that Heaven will be brighter with his pain-free presence up there. He will most definately be waiting to welcome you with lots of kisses and corgi "arroos!" for you. Rest easier knowing this community supports you in this difficult time.
